The Route

The Yukon River stretches over 2000 miles from the headlakes all the way to the Bering Sea. But where exactly does it start ? There is no classical source but a network of lakes eventually forming a river that carries the name Yukon for the first time just before it reaches the city of Whitehorse in the Canadian Yukon Territory. Click on the map that shows the route it takes across the nordic landscape.
